Also, track lighting is of two types, the first one uses a wire- in connector that brings the power to one end of the track. Whereas the other one uses a floating connector that brings the power to any of the end along the track. Both of them holds the same wiring and installation process.
Let us start with the installation. First step is to locate the place where you want to use the track lighting fixtures. For that, you need to climb up to the attic. Now, hold on the track against the ceiling and put the marks on the ceiling with a pencil. Using the drill machine, drill the holes through the ceiling at the marked places.
You need to connect the track light with the already placed home wiring. Match the wires by color as black to black, white to white and copper (or green) to the copper wire in the junction box. Use wire nuts to cover the joints.
Plug the connector into the track. Next, hold the tracks along the ceiling and fasten them one by one. Use toggle bolts to attach them over the attic. Position the lights accordingly. Turn on the lights from the main circuit breaker.
