MP3 Accessories Explained
During a visit last April to jolly old England, President and Mrs. Obama gifted her royalness with a new I POD filled with some inspirational music. Although a gift of an I POD to the matriarch should have been enough to raise eyebrows. Just when you thought something’s would never change, the Queen gets an IPod.
Easily the most abundant MP3 accessories are the many cases, clips and armbands available. There are docking stations that rival anything you see on the Sci-Fi channel. Headphones and ear buds are readily available for mobility and privacy and car connections can be used for when the multitude of radio channels just fail to play your favorite Weird Al parody any longer.
A good case is a must. Not only for making sure you protect Yanni in his entire splendor, but as a fashion statement to those in the social “know” of things. Cases come in a wide variety of styles and colors; this is great when you think that a construction worker from Queens might not want the same pink rhinestone covered MP3 player that all the girls in the valley have.
Next you need a clip so that your MP3 player won’t slip away into the void of your pants, jackets, unmentionables, etc. You can go with the obvious belt clip, thinking to emulate your local handyman with his ever ready hammer, only your hammer would be belting out “Can’t touch this.”
Arm bands are a great option for your MP3 accessories wardrobe as well. The will often Velcro of slide up and ride on your upper arm. This is great because unlike a bulky CD player, they will not skip while you are skipping or otherwise cut out. Having an armband for your music player will save you a lot of headache when exercising. This is whether you are rowing up and down the banks of the Potomac , jogging or just mall walking.
I have in fact become so attached to my player that I have opted for one of what I thought were unnecessary MP3 accessories, docking stations. I have one beside my bed so I can listen to every STYX song before I go to sleep. I also have one in the shower so I can sing Journey to my heart’s desire as if I was a cast member of GLEE.
The most versatile of MP3 accessories may be ear buds and headphones. Some prefer not to have things sticking into their ear canal while others are perfectly fine with it. Some of the preference is related to sound quality. If you don’t mind looking like Princess Lea you can opt for a huge set of headphones and typically they sound nice and are very durable. For the exercise buff and the person trying to put one over on their boss, ear buds are recommended.
The most interesting accessory of all could be you in a way. What you choose to do with your own personal MP3 player is up to you. Limited now by your imagination only, expressing yourself has never been as interesting as it is with your MP3 accessories.
