Discover How to Find Out who Is The Owner Of any Phone

Posted on 29 December 2008 by Ditto

Ever needed to know who was the owner of a certain phone number?  I can think of several different times when we see a number on our phone that you don’t know and we wonder who called us.  To find out who is on the other end of the phone, you can use a handy tool called a reverse phone search.

It easn’t always easy to locate information for cell phones or unlisted numbers.  Usually, you can locate fairly easily databases that have information for all phone numbers in the phone book.  However, for other types of phones you will need to use a cell phone reverse lookup.  These are provided by specific companies that buy phone records from people and companies so that they can to put together databases containing info for ANY phone.

Once again, the internet has made this easier than ever before.  Nowadays, you just have to visit a website, punch in the phone number, and all the information about the owner will be instantly shown on your screen.

I’m always amazed to see how much detail you can uncover about a person simply by having their phone number.  Obviously you will find out their name, but you will also retrieve where they live, previous addresses and other interesting background info.

If you are looking for detailed information on the owner or are searching for information on a mobile phone or unlisted number, you need to locate a paid service.  These are inexpensive though - just look for a company that charges a flat membership fee so that you can run as many searches as you want.

Making use of a reverse phone lookup is easy to do and is the perfect way to find out exactly the owner of any phone number you are hoping to find more information on.

Bluetooth And Infared

Posted on 05 December 2008 by Ditto

With new electrical devices being produced every day,
the problem of connecting things is becoming more
and more complex in nature.  The system that comprises
computers and other electronics makes use of varieties
of wires, cables, etc.

These parts will communicate through light beams,
lasers, radio signals, and infrared.  Bluetooth is wireless
and automatic, offering users a variety of features
that have simplified the art of connection.  The problem
however, is the devices and technology is often the
connection between each component. You can only transmit signals
between the two although not with a seperate system. Therefore, most
electronic systems aren’t used to their full extent
due to the problems and imperfections.

To help simplify things, a solution was created -
the solution of Bluetooth.  Bluetooth is wireless
and automatic, offering users a variety of features
that have simplified the art of connection.  Bluetooth
has revolutionized the standard methods of connecting
things to enabling almost anything to be connected
to a single system.

Aside from Bluetooth, there are other ways of
connecting wireless devices.  One example of such
is the IR or infrared.  Infrared allows low frequency
light waves to transmit signals to another component.
This technology is easy to create and the cost of
putting the IR device into a system is rather low.

Infrared technology is a one to one process.  Due
to the limitation, you may only send signals from one
device to another, similar to a television set and
remote control.  You can only transmit signals
between the two although not with a seperate system.

Aside from the fact that these two natures of
infrared are obstacles to acquiring results, these
same qualities have worked in advantage to the
connection.  Infrared devices need to be lined up
directly, meaning too little interference can occur
between the transmitters and receivers.

The technology behind Bluetooth works by transmitting
signals through low frequency radio signals.  The
path of communication is working on 2.45 GHz, which
is the same frequency band used in ISM devices.

All About Business Text Messaging

Posted on 25 October 2008 by Ditto

Text messaging (often referred to as “texting”) is the common term used to describe the sending of short messages (no more than 160 characters, including spaces) to or from a mobile phone using the Short Message Service (SMS). These messages are usually called text messages, texts or SMS. SMS gateways can connect mobile SMS services with desktop computers (via the world wide web) and even landline telephones (through screen displays or speech synthesis).

Short message services are developing very rapidly throughout the world. In 2000, just 17 billion SMS messages were sent; in 2001, the number was up to 250 billion, and 500 billion SMS messages in 2004. At an average cost of USD 0.10 per message, this generates revenues in excess of $50 billion for mobile telephone operators and represents close to 100 text messages for every person in the world.

As with any other popular medium, text messaging has been developed to facilitate several business sms functions. Sending a text message from a PC, for example, is in many cases quicker and cheaper than conveying the same information by making a call. This can make business text messaging extremely effective for sending short marketing messages to opt-in subscribers, or reminding clients of appointments, for example. Premium rate sms services have also become increasingly popular, allowing for secure, instant payment for a product or service without cash or a bank card. This payment reflects the value of the product or service as if paying in cash, and is added onto the user’s phone bill. Premium rate sms services are most often used for delivering digital content such as news and sports alerts, financial information, graphics, ringtones and adult content, but they are increasingly being used for “real-world” services. For example, some vending machines now allow payment by sending a premium-rated short message.

With mobile email becoming increasingly popular and included on the majority of handsets provided with new contracts nowadays, only time will tell if SMS will remain as a popular form of communication. In the meantime, however, text messaging will continue to thrive as more and more of us find ourselves inseparable from our mobile phones.

Philips Xenium X800

Posted on 24 May 2008 by Ditto

Philips Xenium X800 Reviews

Earlier last week, Philips officialy announced the release of its newest e2e ( edge to edge) touchscreen smartphone called Xenium X800. Boasting its full e2e touch screen design, this phone seems like another iPhone wannabe.

The X800 features a large 2.9-inch touch screen with 262k colors and resolution of 240 x 400 pixels. Other notable features include a 2-megapixel auto-focus camera, microSD slot, and Bluetooth. It is reported that the Philips X800 will run the new platform, developed by Philips. Among the characteristics mentioned phone support for Office documents, extensive multimedia capabilities, camera, FM-radio, Bluetooth and WiFi.

If this phone is real, much will depend on how well the touchscreen works and how well the touch UI is implemented. Which is no easy feat, as many iPhone wannabe’s can attest. Unfortunately as of this writing, the X800 release is only limited in China only. Looks like the only way to get it is to wait until they sell it on Ali Baba, China’s very own Ebay.
