Nokia E51

Posted on 29 April 2008 by Ditto

Nokia E51 ReviewThe Nokia E51 is the latest from the venerable E series, and an apt successor to the hugely popular E50 model, which it will eventually replace, and adds greater simplicity and faster access while maintaining the smartphone capabilities and stylish design. It follows the same smartphone path as Nokia’s famous slide phone, the E65. It has a 2 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom for quality images and video capture. The Nokia E51 is equipped with a new, dedicated blue tooth key, and is always ready for business; choose from push e-mail, web browsing or instant messaging; served through high speed 3.5G (HSDPA) or Wi-Fi technology.

Audio quality is comparable to other Nokia Nseries smartphones, and the supplied earphones are acceptable if not outstanding quality. With a 2.5mm socket for earphones, you’ll need an adapter if you want to upgrade to a better quality set that use a standard 3.5mm plug. Audio functionality comes in the shape of a music player and an FM radio. The stereo headset connects to the E51 via a 2.5mm jack and must be connected if you want to use the FM radio, as it contains the antenna.

Connectivity options include a mini-USB connector and 2.5mm audio jack. Connecting to the computer is very easy and quick via bluetooth as well as via WLAN. Instead of a bluetooth connection I prefer to connect using the data transfer cable when I use the PC suite because it doesn’t ask me every time for acces.

Users will be able to exchange instant messages with Yahoo, AOL, OMA 1.2, and MSN clients. Users can also watch various programs from channels like CNN and Sky News on the go as Telstra has included its Foxtel Mobile service on the E51. In addition, the E51 will also have a ‘dual-mode’ handset function that claims to deliver desk phone calling features such as extension dialing, hold, transfer and conferencing, all on a mobile device, the company says.

Ultra-thin Competition: ACER Ferrari 1100

Posted on 17 April 2008 by zidni

ACER Ferrari 1100, this stylist look of Ferrari ultra-thin laptop to enter the ultra-thin competition. It is interesting that ACER bring the stylist look to this competition, just like what Samsung and Motorola brought with their fashion cell phone to compete with Nokia. The result for this Ferrari 1100 is quite interesting, some site reviewed this laptop says that the functionality as a photo editing ultra-thin laptop is quite satisfying.

AMD Turion 64 X2, 4 GB RAM 250 GB hard drive and 256 MB ATI Radeon support the performance of Ferrari 1100. Weighted 5.2 pounds and 28 mm made this laptop quite heavy than their competitor in ultra-thin competition.

This laptop price starts from $1800. Mediocre price offered than others ultra-thin notebook.

Nokia N95

Posted on 13 March 2008 by Ditto

Here’s one variation of the previously popular Nokia NSeries device: combine the Nokia N73’s excellent camera with auto focus lens and its larger display with the Nokia N80’s WiFi, d-pad and compact slider design. Nokia did more than one better with their latest NSeries phone, the N95: it features a 5 mega pixel camera with Carl Zeiss auto focus lens, a 2.6″ QVGA display and a two way slider. Oh yes, and there’s an internal full GPS with free maps covering 100 countries. But let’s not forget the Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR, full-featured music player, standard 3.5mm stereo headphone jack, VGA video camera, the excellent S60 Feature Pack 1 web browser based on Safari technology, Euro-only 3G, quad band GSM + EDGE, the usual super-strong Nokia reception and MS Office viewer applications.

Nokia N95

Though the phone is clearly ripe with high end features, Nokia N95’s 5MP camera is its most salient feature. Like the N73, it excels at still photography and like the N93, it does an excellent job of taking VGA resolution video.
